The Development Lead, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Product at US Foods is a key member of the WMS Tech team having primary responsibility for all WMS custom development and USF WMS Configurations. This role works in collaboration with the Solution Architect and mentors junior members of the WMS Development team. The Development lead owns the development timelines and the SDLC processes for the agile squad.

Flexible Work Policy: The work for the Development Lead position is completely 100% remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.  This position may have the potential to travel up to 20% dependent on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Solution Architect and Product Owners to convert Functional Spec to Technical stories.
  • Lead Grooming meetings to provide technical delivery timelines.

  • Serve as a technical escalation point for complex incidents and promptly resolve client issues related to Blue Yonder WMS/WLM

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving, system configuration, Integration, MOCA tracing, SQL queries, and overall system performance. Implement necessary code changes, customizations, and configuration

  • Unit test the custom development and collaborate with Quality Assurance resources

  • Support ongoing system maintenance, including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning

  • Support WMS Product by acting as 3rd level support for bugs or active system issues.

  • Develop and maintain expert understanding of all appropriate applications and products.

  • Provide technical support for RF devices, printers, and other peripheral devices as needed during implementation and post-go-live phases.

  • Develop advanced system configurations and implementations in response to customer needs and requirements.

  • Actively participate as a SME for certain products and technologies, providing consultative support to other Engineers in their area of specialization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: Business Stakeholders and End Users, IT Leadership, IT Delivery (Scrum Masters, Developers, Architects, UX Designers, Program Managers, etc.)   

  • External: Application / Systems Vendors (as applicable) 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years’ experience in designing, modifying, and testing technical architecture for business-critical, supply chain applications

  • Knowledge and understanding of Blue Yonder/JDA Warehouse Management System

  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall and Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development)

  • Blue Yonder/JDA - MOCA, Report Writer, Jasper, Java, Blue Yonder/JDA - Integration Technologies and tools, Blue Yonder/JDA – System Setups and Configuration (ver. 2020+).

  • Blue Yonder Robotics Hub or WCS experience

  • SQL (Oracle or SQL Server), Infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing / SaaS / IaaS / PaaS technologies.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diverse experience with the development and enhancement of Blue Yonder supply chain applications such as WMS, LMS, TMS, and others

  • Experience leading integrations across SaaS products and internal, custom-built applications

  • Experience managing external implementation partners throughout all phases of a project life cycle

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).  The expected base rate for this role is between

$85,000 - $140,000
