What We’re Looking For:

The Sr. Network Development Specialist, Nursing is a subject matter expert in all things Network Development and clinical experiences in Nursing and Women’s Health. 

The Sr. Network Development Specialist, Nursing will have a particular interest and skill set in obtaining and expanding new and existing partnerships with sites and networks, with a specific emphasis on increasing women’s health and midwifery preceptors and contracts. They will have a drive and proven skill set for forming and maintaining site relationships that stand out from their peers. This specialist will be responsible for driving new contracts and network partnerships for nursing, women’s health, and midwifery rotations for students. In this role, the specialist will be responsible for the buildout of networks as well as overall consultation on site and preceptor expansion strategies.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Network Development

  1. Work independently to tactically grow placement network by soliciting contracts with large and medium sized organizations
  2. Demonstrate a mastered approach in network expansion by using innovative ideas to engage potential agency/healthcare partners, with a specific emphasis on women’s health and midwifery.
  3. Leverage relationships with network contacts to obtain new contracts on behalf of 2U degree programs
  4. Utilize a consultative sales approach to tailor messaging in conversations with network contacts
  5. SME (subject matter expert) on program details and contracts processes used when communicating with network contacts 
  6. Initiate and own contracts process and facilitate communications between the contracts specialists and network contacts
  7. Proactively communicate with Placement Manager and specialists on the program team to identify priorities and coordinate work 
  8. Communicate regularly with faculty and other external stakeholders 
  9. Use creative approaches to building new partnerships and relationships, as well as keeping future sites and contracts in play

Team Initiatives, Training, Meetings, & Process Improvements

  1. Leads team initiatives that drive Network Specialist KPIs (new affiliation agreements, sites covered by a single affiliation agreement, programs covered per Network, affiliation agreements used in first launch cohort).
  2. Leads and conducts training for the team on identifying and contracting with nursing networks and facilitating women’s health outreach
  3. Identifies process improvements and best practices 
  4. Works closely with University faculty to facilitate placement work

Partnership Expansion

  1. Send emails to sites with initiated AAs, informing them of the benefits of an expanded partnership 
  2. SME of partner codes, the career engagement network, and how they can benefit networks/sites 
  3. Strategically leverage expanded partnerships to support other priorities and tailor messages based on the needs of the organization using a consultative sales approach
  4. Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders

In the First 30 days you will:

  • Understand our placement cycles and approach to network development
  • Craft a development strategy to increase the volume of CNMs, women’s health practitioners and nursing sites for current and future students
  • Connect with 2U and faculty on best practices for outreach and student placement initiatives

In the first 60 days you will:

  • Implement development strategies and start to bring in contracts or new facilities/preceptors 
  • Work on future start dates for students as well as coordinator placement efforts with the existing placement team to ensure students start on time

In the first 90 days you will:

  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of your outreach strategy
  • Ensure the team reached their goal of 95% on-time placement for current and future start dates by utilizing your outreach approach

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • Licensed NP with experience in women’s health or midwifery
  • At least five or more years of work experience or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Nursing degree preferred
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a customer service-oriented environment
  • Comfort in communicating and establishing rapport in a professional manner across the following mediums: phone, email, video conference, and in-person
  • Good judgment and excellent organizational, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills 
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Strong sense of system orientation and focus on providing “white glove” service to network partners
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
  • Ability to work and contribute in a team environment
  • Ability to have consultative sales conversations

The anticipated base salary range for this role is ($86,000 -$103,700), with potential bonus eligibility.  Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, budget for the position and cost of labor in the market in which the candidate will be hired.
