What You'll Be Doing:
Vulnerability Analysis and Prioritization: Develop in-depth skills in analyzing vulnerability scan results (from various sources), assessing the associated risks, and prioritizing vulnerabilities for remediation based on factors like severity, exploitability, and business impact.
Remediation Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of vulnerability remediation efforts across different teams. This includes identifying appropriate remediation strategies, defining remediation timelines, and assigning responsibilities.
Implementation of Remediation Measures: Work closely with technical teams to implement remediation measures, which may include applying patches, configuring systems, implementing security controls, or developing workarounds.
Verification and Validation: Verify and validate that implemented remediation measures have effectively addressed the identified vulnerabilities. This may involve retesting, using vulnerability scanning tools, or other validation techniques.
Documentation of Remediation Activities: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of vulnerability remediation activities, including the vulnerabilities identified, the remediation measures taken, and the results of verification and validation.
Cloud Security Technologies: Gain exposure to various security technologies used in vulnerability remediation, such as patch management systems, configuration management tools, and security automation platforms in the cloud.
Collaboration with Security Engineers: Collaborate closely with security engineers and other technical staff throughout the vulnerability remediation lifecycle.
Enhance Security Knowledge: Deepen your understanding of vulnerability management principles, remediation best practices, and security hardening techniques.
