Summary

This position is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of collegiate chapters, supporting assigned Chapter Services program(s) and implementing initiatives as directed by the Sorority’s strategic plan.

 

Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee and support the day-to-day chapter services operations and functions to foster a positive member experience in assigned portfolio of collegiate chapters.
  • Support collegiate chapters and volunteers in setting and meeting strategic goals and key performance indicators.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for requests from and communication with fraternity and sorority advisors in assigned portfolio of collegiate chapters. Include volunteers and professional staff in communication as needed.
  • Supervise collegiate leadership consultants (CLCs) or volunteer team members, as outlined in portfolio responsibilities, by providing training and development through regular one on one calls, team calls and team meetings.
  • Oversee the implementation and execution of chapter operations procedures for assigned portfolio of collegiate chapters.
  • Support chapters in completing annual chapter assessment and reporting requirements in a timely manner by liaising with volunteers and chapter officers.
  • In conjunction with the director of chapter services and chief experience officer provide chapter discipline support.
  • In conjunction with the director of chapter services and chief experience officer provide crisis management response, as needed.
  • Conduct chapter visits as needed to provide on-site training and coaching.
  • Support volunteer recruitment for advisors and volunteers in assigned portfolio of collegiate chapters.
  • Support members and volunteers in using software for collegiate chapter finance, chapter operations and recruitment efforts.
  • Liaise with other division members on division-wide projects such as supporting collegiate chapter belonging, equity, diversity and inclusion efforts, updating officer resources, senior celebration and young alumnae engagement, and collegiate experience programs.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Management Company managers to assist chapters in meeting facility occupancy requirements.

 

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of software; database software (iMIS); project management software.

  • Significant night and weekend work commitments. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include travel or participation in evening and/or weekend conference calls, chapter visits or in-person meetings as directed.

  • Ability to prioritize projects
  • Collaborative and effective work practices while meting all applicable deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

  • Gamma Phi Beta member or fraternity/sorority membership, preferred
  • Understanding of nonprofit organizations and volunteer management a plus
  • Collegiate leadership consultant experience helpful

Location

This position is eligible for remote employment. 

 

Benefits and Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience, education and work location. The hiring pay range for this role is $55,000-$60,000 annually. Gamma Phi Beta offers a full benefits package with an excellent paid time off package that includes 12 days of vacation plus sick time, personal days, holidays and two weeks of additional paid time off over the office’s winter break. Benefits include health, life, disability, vision and dental insurance coverage and participation in Gamma Phi Beta’s 401(k) plan after a year of eligible service.
