Job Summary:
We are looking for an Estimator and Contracts Administrator to manage cost estimation, tender preparation, and contract negotiations for projects. The ideal candidate for this role should have expertise in analyzing project requirements, securing competitive quotes, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms. This role is critical for driving cost efficiency, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects based on technical specifications and requirements.
  • Source and analyze vendor quotes, negotiate terms, and finalize contracts to secure cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop and submit tender documents, ensuring alignment with project scope and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review design plans and provide input using CAD software for feasibility assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, pricing agreements, and project-related communications.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, providing updates and adjustments as needed to meet objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout the estimation and contracting process.


Requirements
Requirements/Skills Needed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, or contracts administration within residential or commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation and cost breakdown analysis.
  • Experience in contacting and coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotations and pricing information.
  • Familiarity with tender documentation preparation and managing competitive bidding processes.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation tools and methodologies for accurate project budgeting.
  • Experience with Buildxact software is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for reviewing technical designs and project plans.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive rates with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder coordination and reporting.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 06:00 PM AEST (06:00 AM - 03:00 PM PH Time)
