Job description

Overview:

Our Consulting Team is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Local Government Practice Group as a Senior Consultant - supporting the firm and our municipal clients by serving as a client-side project manager for large-scale business and software transformation projects. This position will primarily support client engagements along the West Coast, during typical Pacific or Mountain time zone business hours.

 

This position will work remotely, joining a team that predominantely includes remote colleagues. You will serve as a key liaison with client and vendor teams as they implement enterprise resource planning (ERP) software - helping to guide and direct the work of the client team while serving as the primary conduit with the software/services vendor teams. You will bring your experience with ERP systems and software implementation projects to help navigate the complexities of a multi-year software deployment. You will report to senior management within our Local Government Practice Group's Enterprise Digital Transformation practice.

 

Travel Expectations: BerryDunn consultants travel to client sites can range from 35-50%.

You Will:

You will:

  • Lead delivery of services to clients on time, within scope, and within budget, including leading the project team and crafting written work
  • Supervise the full implementation life cycle of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software on behalf of clients including the following aspects:
    • Develop project governance model and initial project planning documents, review planning and initiation plans from the software vendor
    • Supervise vendor performance, coordinate task assignments to align with the vendor’s project plan, work as client’s primary liaison to vendor contact
    • Maintain the project and resource plans, conduct ongoing status meetings/reporting, track project performance against indicators including scope, schedule, and cost baselines, coordinate task completion by client staff, manage our client project team including IT, Finance, and HR staff
    • Participate in assessment, configuration, testing, and training sessions as faciltiated by vendor staff and help to facilitate the client-side decision-making process and tracking of open items and decisions
    • Identify and report on project risks to client and vendor staff, coordinate the resolution/mitigation of identified risks
    • Build User Acceptance Testing plan and scripts, provide oversight of client testing, conduct analysis of testing results for executive reporting
    • Lead the circulation of project deliverables for client review and collect feedback
  • Participate in our internal operations including new business development and staff development efforts

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3-5 years project management experience
  • High quality communication skills, including both in written form and verbal
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities to autonomously achieve quality results in a timely manner
  • Ability to use problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills to resolve project issues
  • Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups
  • Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with diverse teams
  • Ability to working in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing dynamics and priorities in order to meet established deadlines
  • Ability to remain highly responsive to internal and external communications
  • Positive, “can do” demeanor that encourages and motivates others
Compensation Details:

The base salary range targeted for this role is $90,000 - $130,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
