Senior Sales Engineer will provide guidance and assistance to the account teams in building solutions specific to customers’ application security challenges. As a consultative expert in Thales’ Cyber Security solutions, you will be qualify and gather requirements to demonstrate, architect, and then prove the technical value of Thales’ solutions against competitive alternative solutions.You'll be eager to learn and implement new technology, ready to embrace and adapt to a large and complex portfolio of products. You'll be a self-starter who builds and maintains executive technical relationships to be a trusted advisor, maximizing Thales opportunities with a customer.

Key Areas of Responsibity
- Delivery of new revenue via acting as custodian of the technical sales lifecycle on the sales team including: responses to Requests for Proposals/ Requests for Information, discovery, solution design, communication of Thales product positioning, derivation of success criteria, POV management and delivery of product demonstrations address unique customer pain points.
- Translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences from c-suite to security teams.
- Collaborate with internal team to both extend and receive best practices
- Work cross-functionally with Product Management and Business Development to identify, evaluate, and make technical recommendations regarding strategic product enhancements based on market initiatives, new technology, partnerships, or customer requirements.
- Work with the Customer Success and Technical Support teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a high degree of technical awareness of relevant products, competitors, and trends in the marketplace.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering)
- 5+ years of experience pre-sales working experience for an enterprise software, networking or security company.
- Outstanding, demonstratable communication skills – written, verbal, presentation, etc
- Hands on experience in AWS/Azure/GCP, K8s, Docker, or other containerization technologies
- Experience administering either a WAF, Bot Management Solutions and/or DDoS Solutions etc.
- Ability to position, discuss and counter solution validation, using objection-handling skills.
- Compliance standards knowledge (PCI, SOX, HIPAA) – an advantage
- Knowledge in application development (ASP, .NET, PHP, JSP) – an advantage
- Enjoyment of engagement in and solving unfamiliar technical problems
- Open to new ideas and ways of doing things
- Experience in the Latin American market
- Bilingual English/ Spanish languages (Potugues for Brazil-based role)
