Humana Healthy Horizons in Oklahoma is seeking a Manager, Care Management, Behavioral Health who leads teams of nurses and behavioral health professionals responsible for care management. The Manager, Behavioral Health Care Management, works within specific guidelines and procedures, applies advanced technical knowledge to solve moderately complex problems, and receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules, and goals.

The Manager, Care Management, Behavioral Health roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Oversees the assessment and evaluation of members' behavioral health needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members.
  • Monitors audits and reports to ensure compliance with state contracts and on performance metrics and to ensure member needs are met.
  • Interviewing, hiring, disciplining, evaluating, and mentoring a diverse care coordination work force.
  • Onboards new staff including but not limited all pre-employment human resource tasks, ordering of software, hardware, supplies and support technologies.
  • Monitors performance of staff including service performance and adherence to establish utilization and care coordination benchmarks.
  • Identifies members for specific case management and / or disease management activities.
  • Monitor case management activities, post-discharge calls, discharge planning and pre-assessment of elective admissions.
  • Makes decisions related to resources, approach, and tactical operations for projects and initiatives involving own departmental area.
  • Works cross departmentally and conducts briefings and area meetings.
  • Maintains frequent contact with other managers across the department.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Must reside in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, bachelor’s degree Nursing (BSN) or a Licensed Master Level Social Worker (LCSW, LMSW, LMSW-ACP, CSW, LPC, LMFT) with current license in Oklahoma or a compact license.
  • 5+ years of Behavioral Health professional experience.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data trends.
  • Experience working with Medicaid and/or Medicare Enrollees to coordinate services, care needs, or benefits.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple functional areas and fostering teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation skills).
  • Ability to use data and analytical thinking to make fact-based decisions and/or recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a managed care field.
  • 5+ years of previous management/supervisor level experience.
  • Certification, Case Management.
  • Licensed Processional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT).

Work at Home Guidance

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

  • Direct Reports: Up to 13 associates.
  • Workstyle: Remote, work from home in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Travel: Periodic in-person meeting in Oklahoma City.
  • Core Workdays & Hours: Typically, Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm Central Standard Time (CST).

Interview Format

As part of our hiring process, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology provided by Hire Vue, a third-party vendor.  This technology provides our team of recruiters and hiring managers an enhanced method for decision-making.

If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or an SMS Text Messaging interview.  If participating in a pre-recorded interview, you will respond to a set of interview questions via your phone. You should anticipate this interview to take approximately 10-15 minutes.

If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone or computer to answer the questions provided.  Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed, and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$78,400 - $107,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
