The HRBP will report into the Director of HR - EMEA, developing and delivering HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of Sphera.

General Job Duties:

  • Assists in developing, implementing and administering company HR programs that meet current needs while also anticipating future business and talent trends.
  • Responsible for coordinating and administering activities in a majority of HR functions including employment, colleague relations, compensation, learning and organization development, diversity, records and benefits.
  • Works with the HR team and hiring managers to drive forward recruitment processes to ensure that the appropriate skills and experience are available to successfully deliver the business plan.
  • Advises management regarding personnel policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction. Manages employee relations activities in a manner that effectively limits corporate exposure to legal risk.
  • Assists the HR organization during the annual performance management, salary planning and benefits enrollment processes (and all other annual HR programs).
  • Understands all applicable governmental regulations and advocates compliance requirements.
  • Consults and partners with leaders in achieving company objectives. Provides guidance on business unit restructure, workforce planning and succession planning. Keeps leaders informed of new developments and practices. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of colleagues.
  • Counsels colleagues concerning work-related problems and explains HR policies and programs. Provides support and communication on corporate values and organizational change.

Qualifications – About You:

  • Minimum 2 years of related professional experience within an HR team.
  • Experience supporting a global organization is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on HR information systems experience (Workday highly preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, pivot charts)
  • High attention to detail; creative problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Crisp, confident communication skills with colleagues at all levels in the organization and with external partners.
  • A self-starting team player who is highly motivated, and able to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously. Flexible to provide employee support in various time zones.
  • Ability to work with pressing deadlines, manage time, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities.
  • Experience of working in an HR role responsible for Germany.  
  • Knowledge of Germany employment law essential
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken German.
