Job description

Natcast (short for The National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology) is a new, purpose-built, non-profit entity created to operate the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) consortium, established by the CHIPS Act of the U.S. government.

Sr. Manager, Semiconductor Ecosystem Enablement

In this role you will serve as a strategic advisor to NSTC members, leveraging deep semiconductor expertise to connect organizations with transformative opportunities across America's premier semiconductor innovation ecosystem. 

Every day you will orchestrate high-impact connections between members and NSTC resources, translating complex technical needs into actionable solutions while maximizing the value of NSTC membership. 

To thrive in this role you must combine sophisticated semiconductor knowledge with exceptional relationship management abilities, demonstrating both technical acumen and strategic thinking while helping members navigate and leverage NSTC's comprehensive capabilities. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as primary technical liaison between NSTC members and the broader semiconductor ecosystem 

  • Develop deep understanding of each member's technical needs, strategic objectives, and growth opportunities 

  • Create customized action plans connecting members with relevant funding opportunities, research initiatives, and partnership possibilities 

  • Navigate complex technical discussions to identify areas where NSTC resources can accelerate member objectives 

  • Coordinate access to NSTC's advanced facilities and capabilities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources 

  • Build strategic relationships across the NSTC ecosystem to facilitate high-value member connections 

  • Guide members through available research programs, workforce development initiatives, and collaboration opportunities 

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of NSTC's technical capabilities, funding mechanisms, and partnership frameworks 

  • Create and deliver technical presentations highlighting NSTC capabilities and member success stories 

  • Track and analyze member engagement metrics to continuously improve service delivery 

  • Identify emerging member needs and opportunities for expanded NSTC support 

  • Document best practices and success stories to enhance member value proposition 

 

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field 

  • 8+ years semiconductor industry experience 

  • Strong background in technical sales or applications engineering 

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor technology and manufacturing 

  • Demonstrated expertise in customer relationship management 

  • Excellence in technical problem-solving and solution development 

  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities 

  • Advanced presentation and communication skills 

  • Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships 

  • Proven ability to translate technical requirements into actionable plans 

  • Track record of successful customer engagement 

  • Understanding of semiconductor industry dynamics
