We’re a remote-first company headquartered in San Francisco, California, with a team that reflects the diversity and creativity of the people we serve. Join our mission to level the playing field for small business owners through good design!

About The Opportunity

The Trust & Safety Team at Flodesk is part of our Engineering Team, based in our Da Nang office. Our job is to protecting our platform’s integrity and ensure that our users send high-quality, compliant email campaigns.

You will also work cross-functionally with Product, Member Experience, and Marketing Communication teams to guide users on best practices, shape internal policies, and support the continuous improvement of our Trust & Safety systems.

What you will do
  • Monitor user activity, email delivery performance, and platform signals to proactively detect bad behaviors such as spam, phishing, or violating our Terms of Services.
  • Investigate flagged users and campaigns, assess risk levels, and apply appropriate enforcement actions (warnings, account holds, suspensions). Develop automation rules to systematically detect and take actions on highly suspicious users.
  • Analyze trends in user behavior, complaint rates, and deliverability metrics to surface emerging risks or abuse patterns. Provide insights and recommendations to product and engineering teams to improve abuse detection systems and product features.
  • Define, refine, and maintain operational playbooks and escalation processes for Trust & Safety workflows.
  • Collaborate with Member Experience and Communication teams to ensure good actors are educated on email best practices and compliance requirements (list hygiene, consent, content quality etc.).
  • Maintain metrics and reports to measure the effectiveness of Trust & Safety actions and continuously improve the program.
  • Lead and mentor junior analysts.
What you need to be successful
  • Experience with data analysis and investigation — comfortable working with SQL, dashboards, and risk scoring models.
  • Eagerness to develop deep domain expertise in email deliverability, sender reputation, anti-spam regulations, and broader email marketing best practices. Familiarity with abuse detection systems, spam trap monitoring, and feedback loops is a plus.
  • Sharp critical thinking and sound judgment, with the ability to make balanced decisions that protect the platform while considering both business impact and user experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on articulating risk assessments, clearly documenting investigations, and guiding users on compliance and best practices.
  • An autonomous and self-starter mindset - proactive in identifying risks, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement and driving initiatives that strengthen the Trust & Safety framework.
