Vice President, Project Management

Remote | Pharma Agency | Lead and Elevate Project Delivery

Overview

As Vice President, Project Management, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of agency projectsdriving efficiency, accountability, and excellence across teams. Youll oversee project timelines, establish best practices, and mentor a team of project managers to ensure flawless, on-time delivery of client work. Your expertise in pharma agency operations and ability to optimize workflows will be instrumental in achieving both agency and client success.

This is a remote position, and while candidates may reside in PST, CST, or EST, they must be available to work within Eastern Time Zone business hours (some flexibility provided).

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development support to project managers, ensuring high performance and growth.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, reinforcing the value of project management within the agency.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships across departments, ensuring alignment and confidence in the project management function.
Project Management & Execution
  • Oversee end-to-end project timelines, from initial brief development to final asset delivery.
  • Lead project kick-offs (in partnership with Account teams), ensuring clear scope definition, stakeholder alignment, and realistic timelines.
  • Facilitate internal project meetings, ensuring the right resources are involved at the right time.
  • Proactively manage risks, identifying potential delays, scope creep, or resourcing challenges and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Establish clear objectives and priorities, balancing project needs within individual programs and across the agency.
  • Lead post-mortem discussions, gathering insights to optimize future project workflows and performance.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for project managers, troubleshooting challenges and ensuring seamless resolution.
Operations & Process Optimization
  • Develop and implement best practices, driving efficiency across clients and portfolios.
  • Standardize workflows to improve resource allocation, streamline approvals, and enhance overall agency operations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive process innovation, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications
  • 10-12 years of project management experience in a life sciences agency; pharma agency background required.
  • Deep understanding of agency operations, including both digital and print production processes.
  • Proficiency in job-tracking and project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, WorkFront, Wrike preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to drive change, manage conflict resolution, and navigate complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical product launches preferred.
  • Strong risk management capabilities, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential project roadblocks.
  • Change management expertise, ensuring smooth transitions and process improvements.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: 130k- $140K
