The Role

Navigator is the portfolio projection software within the Addepar platform that empowers our clients to make smarter investment decisions. The Navigator Product Analyst is responsible for supporting the maintenance and improvement of Navigator’s core functionalities. The analyst will support the team with conducting data analysis, generating calculation examples, answering queries from service/sales/clients/prospects, and testing new features/enhancements. 

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $89,000 - $139,000 (Base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do
  • Possess a deep knowledge of financial calculations, including asset valuation, investment performance, and risk metrics. 
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all Navigator calculations
  • Assist the lead product managers with researching, defining, and scoping new functionalities, including producing easy to understand examples (spreadsheet, Addepar analysis view, etc) to assist engineers. 
  • Owner of data analytics for Navigator product/feature usages. (SQL queries & Heap)
  • Run last-resort support for calculations questions and other issues coming in from various go-to-market and support teams internally. Ensure understanding and drive updates to product content to help avoid the same issues being raised multiple times.
  • Help QA/QE to check release items with an emphasis on calculation enhancements. 
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • At least 3 years of experience of Data Analysis Experience and high proficiency in in MS Excel 
  • SQL, Python, prior modelling experience nice to have
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with vendors, clients and internal team members
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Preferred: Indepth understanding of Addepar core concepts such as ownership structure, transactions, attribution, etc.
