Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will design and maintain web applications along with third-party connectivity (API, EDI etc.) and ensure they are visually compelling, accessible, and easy to use. The Senior Software Engineer will translate non-technical business requirements into secure, dynamic, and functional applications. The Senior Software Engineer will provide recommendations for product improvements.  

This position will focus on full stack software development, modular microservices based architecture and development internal web-based applications and integration with third party tools, platforms and sFTP sites within the US Finance industry. 

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze requirements, define tasks, and scope effort.  
  • Ensure that requirements and development are aligned with business logic and customer needs. 
  • Deliver a complete product from design, prototypes of ideas, build, troubleshoot/quality assurance test, and maintain applications. 
  • Develop solutions for adapting content and presentation, including markup and code, for mobile devices and browsers. 
  • Participate in developing best practices to maintain and improve platforms/applications and their security. 
  • Quality assurance testing of upgrades, patches, and new releases. 
  • Perform code review. 
  • Continually research and learn new technologies, tools, and techniques that support evolving needs.  
  • Present ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals.  
  • Work closely with analysts, designers, and staff.  
  • Produce detailed technical specifications and writing the program code.  
  • Follow project schedules and communicate status reports, in verbal and written form.  
  • Meet and adhere to programming standards throughout the project lifecycle.  
  • Support and mentor Jr. developers. 
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

What You Will Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience hands-on with C# .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs, HTML, Blazor, React, JavaScript, jQuery, MS SQL Server & IIS. 
  • 5+ years of experience packing and deploying solutions in a web environment. 
  • 6+ years of experience hands-on with C# .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs, HTML, Blazor, React, JavaScript, jQuery, MS SQL Server & IIS. 
  • 5+ years of experience packing and deploying solutions in a web environment. 
  • Experience with CSS and microservices/microservice architecture.  
  • Experience working with windows services and console apps including desktop applications. 
  • 5+ years of experience with researching new solution development and presenting options to executive-level customers with clear communication, and professional presentation skills. 
  • 3+ years of experience in US FinTech industry. 
  • Experience using Git or other source control products. 
  • Experience implementing solutions in a secure environment, including Active Directory Integration and encryption. 
  • Demonstrated experience using SQL to build, execute, troubleshoot, and refine data models (e.g., stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and data structures). 
  • Proven track record maintaining production SaaS solutions with no downtime. 
  • Experience building fault-tolerant, scalable solutions.  
  • Experience developing and testing across multiple browsers and platforms. 
  • Experience with building websites and applications across the entire stack. 
  • Experience with cloning, branching, committing, and submitting a pull request with Git. 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, displaying excellent organizational/time management, planning, and prioritization skills. 
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable to changing priorities, and capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines, and able to balance business and technical objectives while collaborating effectively in a team environment. 
  • Proven experience working with US based business teams 
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English language
  • Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap 
  • Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload
