Your Role

Ready to shape the future of global internship experiences through exceptional design? We're looking for a seasoned Product Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, engaging user experiences that transform how students access international career opportunities! 🌎

What You'll Be Doing

You'll leverage your extensive design expertise to elevate our product experience. Here's everything you will be doing:

• You'll lead and take full ownership of the end-to-end design process for key product features and experiences
• You'll conduct in-depth user research to uncover insights that drive meaningful design solutions
• You'll create comprehensive design systems that ensure consistency across our platform
• You'll craft detailed user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes that bring ideas to life
• You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements
• You'll facilitate design workshops to generate innovative solutions to complex problems
• You'll collaborate with and mentor fellow designers
• You'll facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and design critiques to elevate the entire design team
• You'll advocate for exceptional UX across the organization and elevate our design standards
• You'll implement and analyze usability tests to validate design decisions with real users
• You'll iterate on designs based on user feedback and quantitative data

Who We're Looking For

Technical Skills You'll Need 🔧

• You have a strong portfolio demonstrating 3+ years of product design experience
• You're proficient in industry-standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
• You're skilled in creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
• You have experience designing responsive web applications and mobile interfaces
• You understand design systems and component-based design methodologies
• You're comfortable with user research techniques and usability testing
• You have working knowledge of HTML/CSS to effectively communicate with developers
• You understand accessibility standards and design best practices
• You're data-informed and can translate analytics into design improvements
• You can document your design decisions clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences

Virtual Internships Perks and Benefits

• Remote-First: All roles at VI are currently and will remain remote - flexibility to work from anywhere. If you’re based in Vietnam, we also have an HCMC office you can work from.
• Flexible Working Hours: Start earlier, leave earlier, take a shorter lunch, or leave later, it's totally up to you.
• Annual Leave: Wherever you are in the world, you’ll get 25 days of paid annual leave per year, plus bank holidays and 5 sick days.
• Life Event Leave: There are moments in life where your life responsibility is a higher priority than work (e.g. moving house, your best friend getting married, your sister having a baby) therefore, you’ll get 5 days of paid life-event leave to support these occasions. You also get a day off on your birthday. This is in addition to your Annual Leave.
• Flexible VIer Budget: You’ll receive a flexible budget of $1,000 annually that you can use on but not limited to your work setup, personal wellness, and professional development.
• Tech: New joiners receive either a Windows, a Macbook or a $750 budget for your company laptop depending on the role and location.
