kp is a globally recognised leader in the packaging and specialty film industry, renowned for its unwavering commitment to sustainability and innovation. The need to act on climate change has never been clearer so we incorporate sustainability into everything we do by #InvestingInBetter - creating innovative products that enhance product protection, shelf life and contribute to reducing the overall carbon footprint.

At kp, we are passionate about ensuring our customers' satisfaction, and we strive to achieve this goal by focusing all our efforts on meeting their evolving needs. Our dedication to drive a positive change in the packaging industry with a focus on quality and sustainability has earned us a reputation as a trusted partner for businesses worldwide.

We are currently  looking for an experienced Group Procurement Manager to take ownership of a critical and growing procurement portfolio in North America. This high-impact role will drive strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and cost efficiencies across key raw materials, including APET, rPET, PS, PP, and PE, with an annual spend of $60 million.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement North American procurement strategies for key raw materials.
  • Lead supplier relationship management and contract negotiations to optimize cost, cash flow, and value generation.
  • Manage RFQ processes and negotiate contracts that strengthen our supply chain.
  • Oversee spot negotiations and free negotiations for relevant materials.
  • Drive validation of additional raw material grades, particularly from import sources, to expand sourcing options.
  • Maintain procurement performance tracking, including APET price performance YoY against market indices.
  • Work closely with kp divisions and functions to align business needs with procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with global category leaders (APET/PO) to shape strategy and supplier development.
  • Lead ad hoc procurement projects as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • A procurement leader with several years of experience managing category strategy and supplier relationships, with annual spend responsibility of $50 million or more.

  • Strong background in manufacturing, ideally within plastics conversion or other best-in-class procurement environments.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with procurement systems, including Spend Analytics, eRFX, BW, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English, with a second language (Spanish, German, or French) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (primarily within the US).

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping procurement excellence within a global business. If you are looking for a challenging, strategic role in a company committed to innovation and sustainability, we encourage you to apply. #LI-REMOTE
