As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated AU RTO Trainer and Assessor (with TAE qualification) to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of students while ensuring compliance with the Standards for RTOs. As an RTO Trainer and Assessor, your primary responsibility is to assess nationally recognized units of competency, provide timely and constructive feedback to students, and ensure compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organizations (RTO) in Australia. You will play a key role in guiding students through their learning journey while maintaining high standards of assessment integrity and quality. Job Description
As an AU RTO Trainer and Assessor, your key responsibilities will include:
Explain assessment requirements clearly to students.
Mark assessment tasks, quizzes, and project tasks using provided rubrics and marking guides.
Conduct Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessments by reviewing student portfolios.
Provide constructive feedback and ongoing support to students.
Complete and maintain accurate assessment records.
Participate in validation and moderation meetings as required.
Ensure compliance with RTO policies, procedures, and the Standards for RTOs 2015.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the RTO field.
Experience working for an Australian Client/Business is required.
TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, OR
TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development, OR
A higher-level qualification in Adult Education.
Strong experience in assessing and marking with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Strong ethics, integrity, confidentiality, and respect for students.
Basic understanding of Australia’s VET system, including AQF and Standards for RTOs 2015.
Experience working within Australian Registered Training Organization (RTOs).
Background in adult education, vocational training, or training and assessment.
Experience with PowerPro Student Management System.
Familiarity with Canvas Learning Management System.
