Position Overview:

Horizons is seeking a highly skilled Global Accounting Director & ERP Integration Specialist to lead the transition from Xero to NetSuite and manage global financial operations across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Employer of Record (EOR) or fintech services and a deep understanding of intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, global financial statement consolidation, and system migrations. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly IT and finance to ensure a smooth and successful NetSuite integration, while maintaining compliance with international accounting standards. In addition to technical and financial expertise, the successful candidate will play a key role in streamlining processes and enhancing the scalability of our financial operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

NetSuite Implementation & Migration: 

  • Lead the transition from Xero to NetSuite, overseeing the seamless migration of financial data, systems, and business processes. 
  • Oversee the full implementation process, including Chart of Accounts (COA) refinement, data point customization, and system configurations to meet business needs. 
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure successful integration of NetSuite with other financial systems and operational tools. 
  • Recommend and implement improvements to streamline financial operations, leveraging best practices and automation tools to enhance efficiency. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements to ensure the scalability, flexibility, and long-term success of financial systems. 

Accounting & Financial Reporting Expertise: 

  • Provide expert guidance on accounting processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. 
  • Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations across multiple global entities. 
  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of global financial statements, ensuring they meet international accounting standards and comply with local regulations. 
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across all platforms, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to financial compliance. 
  • Standardize and implement financial policies, processes, procedures, and controls across multiple regions to ensure alignment with global best practices. 
  • Ensure uniformity in financial reporting and adherence to internal control standards across all jurisdictions. 
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience leading NetSuite implementation or migration projects, ideally from Xero to NetSuite. 
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and managing system migrations. 
  • Strong background in Employer of Record (EOR) services or the fintech industry is highly preferred. 
  • Expertise in global financial operations, including managing intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and global financial statement consolidation. 
  • CPA certification is highly preferred, with deep knowledge of international accounting standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. 
  • Proven ability to establish, standardize, and enforce financial policies, processes, and controls across a global organization.
