As the Senior Revenue Operations Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by leveraging data and analytics to enhance business performance. Working closely with the sales leadership team, you will analyze sales data, performance metrics, and key indicators to uncover actionable insights that shape strategic decision-making. Your expertise will be integral in optimizing sales performance and streamlining operations, contributing to the organization's overall efficiency and growth.
The impact you'll have:
- Utilize advanced analytics techniques to analyze sales data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators, identifying trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure alignment between revenue data and financial records.
- Work closely with the CRO to create sales reports and presentations for board meetings and provide insights into sales activities and performance trends.
- Develop and maintain sales reports and presentations, providing valuable insights into sales activities, performance trends, and areas for optimization.
- Work closely with sales, finance, and marketing teams to gather relevant data and insights for quota setting. Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and business objectives to establish quota targets.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and sellers to support the sales forecasting and pipeline management processes, providing data-driven insights and analysis to enhance forecast accuracy and effectiveness. Monitor and report on sales performance against targets and forecasts.
- Manage the commissions or bonus process for the sales team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments. Resolve discrepancies and provide support in commission calculation-related matters.
- Provide in-depth analysis and insights into revenue attainment, sales performance, and other related metrics, supporting sales leadership in making informed decisions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve sales operations processes, workflows, and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness in revenue generation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance to implement data-driven solutions and initiatives that optimize sales performance and revenue growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in revenue operations and sales analytics, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of experience in revenue operations, financial analysis, business, data analytics, or a similar role within a fast-paced, data-driven environment; experience in the education technology industry is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in sales analytics tools and software, such Salesforce, Tableau, Microsoft Excel or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and accounting standards.
- Familiarity with the sales process and methodologies.
- SaaS experience within an organization with multiple product offerings
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to work, with a strong drive for continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
- Experience with revenue metrics, specifically Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SageIntacct, FinCore, Coupa, NetSuite, and others.
- Experience with QA of financial reporting, including preparing materials for C-suite executives.
