Job description

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-informed decisions that shape business strategy and optimize outcomes. Leveraging your analytical expertise, you will tackle complex data challenges, extract actionable insights, and provide meaningful recommendations. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will influence key initiatives, mentor junior analysts, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of data processes and workflows. Your impact will extend across the organization, empowering teams to make smarter, data-driven choices.

 

The impact you'll have:

  • Lead and execute a broader range of data analysis tasks and projects, including handling complex assignments that contribute to business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Make informed decisions within established guidelines and policies, seeking input or guidance for major decisions or unfamiliar situations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, providing support and guidance to less experienced colleagues, and leading small projects or initiatives within your area of expertise.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results that align with business objectives.
  • Define, monitor, and optimize key metrics and KPIs across multiple departments to drive informed business decisions and performance improvements.
  • Conduct advanced research and analysis on customer behavior, market trends, and operational data to uncover actionable insights and opportunities.
  • Develop sophisticated analysis methodologies, data models, and predictive analytics to understand customer segmentation and market dynamics.
  • Utilize advanced SQL querying techniques and data manipulation to extract insights from complex datasets and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Present findings, insights, and recommendations through compelling reports, visualizations, and presentations to stakeholders at all levels.

What you'll bring:

  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles, with a strong track record of managing complex projects and initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization, with hands-on experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to make autonomous decisions and exercise judgment within your area of expertise, with a focus on driving business impact.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and initiatives, delivering actionable insights, and driving process improvements.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities, with a passion for translating data into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in process optimization, workflow development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, Databricks, or other cloud reporting platforms
  • Experience with data modeling for marketing and financial metrics (churn, down-sell, AAR, MQL/SQL, VOC, etc.)
  • Experience generating financial reports (P&L, financial summary, attribution analysis, etc.)
  • Experience with Sisense, Qlikview, or other BI tools

U.S. Pay Range
$9,500$115,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
