Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager will play a critical leadership role in managing and growing the business with Kroger.  This individual will leverage their expertise in retail, eCommerce, and data-driven strategies to drive sales, optimize promotional planning, and foster strong partnerships. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in Kroger account management, strategic thinking, and team leadership to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales strategy for Barcel USA’s total portfolio, to include DSD and warehouse business.
  • Lead the creation, presentation, and execution of brand promotional plans to achieve key business goals.
  • Own and manage sales plan to ensure line of sight sales goals and potential gap opportunities.
  • Owner of trade calendar & budgets, maximizing revenue while adhering to Barcel USA’s trade budget & guardrail requirements.
  • Oversee distribution execution, new item introductions, schematic implementations, and promotional activities.
  • Kroger General Office customer facing responsibility for all applicable commodities.
  • Manage trade spend and accrual funds, ensuring optimal use to maximize profitability.
  • Work with omni team to align and define strategies and program to drive and achieve e-comm internal and external KPIs.
  • Responsible to lead, develop and motivate a group of 4 customer sales managers calling on the divisions, fostering alignment with company values and objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution of business initiatives.
  • Work closely with planning support, product & pricing maintenance analyst and field support to ensure seamless in store execution.
  • Responsible for communication to internal sales/field teams and distributor teams
  • Compliance with Barcel USA policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience managing and growing the grocery business, Kroger specific preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, or a related field preferred; or comparable work history in CPG industry.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with experience using tools like 84.51 (Stratum, M6), Circana, and Excel.
  •  Advanced knowledge of retail management systems, forecasting, and trade spend optimization.
  •  Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on urgency, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  •  Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  •  Experience with merchandising standards, market trends, and innovation in the CPG industry.
  •  Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
