Liberty Dental Plan is seeking a Director Network Management & Performance to lead our Western Region. Ideal candidates will currently reside in the Central or Western United States.

 

The Director Network Management & Performance is responsible for developing/creating strategy and execution to create a strong provider network that is financially viable. This role will work with Network Management leadership to coordinate areas of opportunities where potential risk/savings can be identified to ensure that LIBERTY 's Network is performing in a manner that aligns with company goals and objectives.

 

 

Job Summary Details

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for expanding and optimizing the provider network to meet organizational goals and member needs.
  • Review competitor information and propose strategies to meet recruitment needs.
  • Identify and address gaps in network coverage and services.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with providers to assure stable networks.
  • Research and analyze fee schedules within assigned territory to determine cost effectiveness of contracting providers.
  • Assist in the negotiation of provider contracts/renegotiation, ensuring competitive terms that promote high-quality care, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in providing Network Leaders in the contract renewal process and manage contract performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the provider network using key metrics such as quality, utilization, and cost.
  • Implement strategies to improve network performance and provider satisfaction.
  • Ensure all network management activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Foster strong relationships with network providers, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and enhancing collaboration.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve provider engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as claims, member services, and quality improvement to ensure the network supports overall organizational goals and member needs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network management professionals.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and exceptional service.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10 Year developing recruitment and/or network management strategies, and executing network strategies in assigned markets, including a minimum of 4 years leading network recruitment or provider relations teams.

 

 

Specific Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to identify problems, research issues and follow through until resolved at an Advanced Level
  • Must be detail oriented, strong customer service skills, strong organizational and time management skills at an Advanced Level
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language; bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Medicaid or Medicare experience preferred
  • Previous sales and customer service experience OR network management experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology
  • Advanced Presentation skills
  • Ability to negotiate fee schedules with providers
  • Experience in processing provider contracts preferred

 

 

 

Location

Our employees are distributed in office locations in multiple markets across the United States. We are unable to hire or allow employees to work outside of the United States. This position supports our Western Region. Ideal candidates will currently reside in the Central or Western United States.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $123,000 - $160,000, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.

 

Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
