A Day in the Life

The Acute Care and Monitoring Team partners with healthcare teams to advance patient safety and prevent and treat life-threatening conditions. We focus on critical care areas (OR and ICU) and go further across the full continuum of care to avoid perioperative complications and respiratory compromise. The Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) Nordic Conversion Specialist is responsible for positioning the ACM Solutions focusing specifically on Nellcor, within the hospitals in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. This role will be working primarily within the NICU, SCBU, Paediatrics & Labour & Delivery clinical setting with an enhanced focus on clinical and outcome-based benefits. The key to the success of this role will be networking with KOL’s and a wide range of stakeholders in addition to fostering a collaborative working environment with the Account managers, Product specialists and Marketing team. This is a Field based Nordic role.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders, including Neonatologists, Pediatric Anesthetists, Department and Directorate leads, Lead Nurses as well as finance and procurement teams
  • Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services
  • Promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services
  • Conduct market research, including customers and competitors' activities and share with Marketing & OEM department
  • Implement market development plans/strategies and make changes as needed
  • Communicate customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders, including Research and development (R&D) Operations, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) department & Marketing
  • Actively seeking new conversion opportunities and be on site with competitive intelligence (head-to-head comparison)


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor or University Degree in Medicine, Life-science, Engineering, Business Administration or Biology or another relevant, advanced degree
  • Clinical background and comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system at the territory and country level
  • At least 5 years of successful sales experience in the healthcare market, with emphasis on medical device and/or pharmaceutical sales
  • Open and direct communication style and strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects/duties as well as contributing to a larger team
  • Strong competitive drive with a high sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of the Nordics languages and a good written and spoken English
