DevSecOps Engineer - Federal

DC / NOVA (Remote with SCIF site visits)

180-220k base Salary + Excellent Benefits

Our client, a leader in advanced analytics and AI-driven decision-making, is a 100+ staff, Series C, Deep Learning SaaS startup who have their origins at part of a research lab at CalTech and the NASA JPL. Due to their strong ties to the DoD, they are currently seeing a DevSecOps Engineer in Washington DC.

DevSecOps Engineer responsibilities:

Collaborate with federal customers and systems integrators to secure deployment authorization.
Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect systems from threats.
Develop and enhance automation for software development, release, and deployment workflows
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure and deployment.
Work closely with Platform Engineers, AI Engineers, Data Scientists, and QA teams to address deployment challenges.

DevSecOps Engineer requirements:

Active TS/SCI security clearance preferred or the ability to obtain (US Citizenship required)
Willingness to work on-site at a government facility when required and travel occasionally.
Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
Experience: 5+ years as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role.
Advanced expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Experience deploying scalable, enterprise SaaS applications.
Experience deploying containerized applications in DoD environments (e.g., Advana, Platform One, ODIN, Palantir FedStart).
Familiarity with security frameworks such as CMMC, NIST-800-171, or FedRAMP.
