Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Collaboration
• Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding client requirements for content creation, processing, distribution, and monetization.
• Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations to devise compelling proof-of-concepts, pilots, and proposals that showcase our technical strengths.
• Facilitate collaborative workshops that align all stakeholders on solution architecture, timelines, and delivery goals.
• Media & Entertainment Architecture
• Design comprehensive systems that integrate media asset management (MAM), transcoding/encoding workflows, streaming, and digital rights management (DRM).
• Drive performance and scalability through cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and microservices architectures.
• Recommend best practices for content security, delivery, and standards (e.g., HLS, DASH, CMAF), ensuring optimal viewer experiences.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Stay informed of emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven personalization, AR/VR, low-latency streaming) and integrate these innovations into our solutions.
• Evaluate and refine existing architectures, consistently seeking ways to enhance reliability, efficiency, and audience engagement.
• Advocate for process improvements and creative thinking that benefit both client outcomes and broader organizational objectives.
• Solution Documentation & Quality Assurance
• Create clear and well-structured documentation, including solution designs, reference architectures, and technical implementation guides.
• Promote best practices in development, version control, testing, and operational excellence, ensuring high-quality results.
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to streamline deployments, maintain solution performance, and resolve challenges proactively.
• Client Engagement & Relationship Building
• Present and articulate complex technical concepts in an encouraging, approachable manner that resonates with diverse audiences.
• Contribute to RFPs/RFIs by delivering thorough technical details, cost estimations, and solution outlines that underscore our value.
• Build long-term partnerships by consistently delivering exceptional service, staying responsive to client feedback, and offering strategic guidance.
• Post-Launch Optimization & Support
• Oversee deployed solutions, identifying opportunities for enhancements and new features that support evolving business needs.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Support teams, and clients to ensure timely issue resolution and continuous client satisfaction.
• Share insights, learnings, and best practices across the company, fostering a culture of knowledge exchange and excellence.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field; or comparable professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, software development, or systems integration, including at least 3+ years in media and entertainment.
• Demonstrated success architecting large-scale, high-performance systems within dynamic environments.
• Technical Proficiencies
• In-depth familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), video encoding/transcoding tools (FFmpeg, x264/x265), and CDN integration.
• Understanding of DRM, content protection strategies, and relevant media standards (SMPTE, SCTE).
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, Node.js, .NET) and front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Comfort with DevOps methodologies, automated testing, monitoring, and application performance management.
