Job description

Positionstitel: Service Engineer Utility Projects (Greece)

Location: Remote (Greece)


Your mission


As a Service Engineer (Greece/Balkans/Italy) for utility-scale solar projects, you will be the technical expert responsible for supporting the After Sales of large-scale customer installations. You will train and oversee our EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and O&M (Operations & Maintenance) partners on the installation and commissioning of our products, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. You will also be the point of contact for troubleshooting and after-sales support, resolving technical escalations quickly and effectively.

This role offers a high level of technical involvement and exposure to multiple internal and external stakeholders, including customers, service partners, R&D teams, product managers, and sales. You will be instrumental in strengthening GoodWe’s position as a Tier 1 service provider in the solar industry.


Your main responsibilities


  • Conduct customer training sessions (both in-person and online) on installation and commissioning of GoodWe’s products.
  • On-site supervision of EPC and O&M customers during the installation and commissioning of inverters and transformer station solutions.
  • Provide on-site hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for large-scale utility and commercial solar projects.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all service activities, including detailed reports and performance logs.
  • Prioritise safety by adhering to HSE procedures, participating in risk assessments and complying with electrical, fire and health regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the After Sales Service team to resolve complex technical issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the services provided.


Your Profile


  • An electrical technical degree or a professional electrician qualification or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, or related fields is a must.
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical after-sales support and field service roles.
  • Proven experience working on utility-scale projects in the solar or energy sector.
  • Skills in configuration and troubleshooting of communication devices, with the ability to work with different software applications and software tools.
  • Understanding of SCADA/Power Plant Controllers, existing and/or new communication equipment and protocols and monitoring portals of different suppliers.
  • Solid understanding of transformer and inverter technologies is essential.
  • Experience with medium voltage (MV) is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in Greek and English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A passion for resolving complex technical challenges.
