We're looking for a seasoned Senior / Staff Business Analyst (Team Lead) to build a diverse team of data engineers, statisticians, and BI engineers to envision and lead the team to build our analytical tooling, organize automated and manual data engineering processes, and serve as a trusted data-driven advisor to our business departments. In this role, you'll lead Cosmose Data Team, collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, translate complex business needs into actionable plans, and make them done. This position blends hands-on data analysis with team leadership all within a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor Cosmose Data Team: Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, ensure engineers and analysts are efficiently working together; provide guidance and coaching
• Translate complex business needs into actionable plans: Lead the requirements gathering process, conduct a thorough analysis, and develop clear and concise action plans - utilizing both manual and automated tools to provide the data according to the needs.
• Design and deliver comprehensive business analysis solutions: Develop and implement analytical frameworks, reports, dashboards, presentations, and processes to support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Partner with stakeholders across departments (e.g., product, engineering, marketing) to understand business objectives, identify opportunities, and drive strategic initiatives.
• Provide data-driven insights: Identify areas for improvement, recommend process optimizations, and contribute to the development of business strategies.
• Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with industry trends: Research and evaluate new analytical tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance the team's capabilities and contribute to continuous improvement.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of Business Analyst or related experience, experience in a leadership role is a plus.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, analyze processes, and deliver actionable insights.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional understanding of statistics (equiv. Harvard courses Stat 100, 109A, 109B, 110, 120, 139 are a plus)
• Proficiency in working with SQL-based databases
• Experience working with data analysis tools (e.g.Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Understanding of business processes and strategic alignment.
