Senior Healthcare Direct, Medicare Bob's Office is growing; we are hiring motivated individuals who are passionate about making a difference! Our agents are Appointed with all top insurance carriers: AARP/UHC, Aetna/Coventry, Cigna, Humana, Mutual of Omaha, and more. By offering the top Carriers, our agents are better able to help our clients choose the right Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D Plan.

Job Description

As a health insurance agent, you will be assisting individuals in understanding their coverage options.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Educating clients: Provide clear explanations and guidance on the client's Medicare Options. Help them understand their options and make informed decisions about their coverage. 
  • Plan selection: Assist clients in choosing the most suitable plan based on their specific healthcare needs. This involves a thorough understanding of the different plan options, including their benefits, and coverage limits. 
  • Application assistance: Guide clients through the enrollment process, ensuring the accurate completion of applications and submissions. This ensures that clients successfully enroll in the chosen plan. 
  • Client support: Address inquiries and resolve issues related to specific plan benefits, doctor, and medication look-up.
  • Compliance adherence: Stay updated with the latest changes in regulations and ensure strict adherence to guidelines. 

Here are key qualifications and skills that are desired for the role:

  • Experience: Previous experience in health insurance, specifically with Medicare plans, is highly preferred. This experience will provide a solid foundation and understanding of the nuances and intricacies of Medicare. 
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial. You need to be able to explain Medicare and how it works clearly and concisely. This will ensure that clients fully understand their options and can make informed decisions. 
  • Team player: Being a team player is important as you will be collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals. This includes sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and contributing to the team’s overall success. 
  • Drive to excel: A hunger to excel in a competitive environment is essential. Learn and apply selling techniques and business operation skills to achieve profitability and meet sales goals for the over-65 insurance Medicare market.

Remote Position – Requirements:

  • Reliable Internet Connection: A stable and high-speed internet connection is essential for remote work. Make sure you have a reliable internet service provider (ISP) that can support your work requirements.
  • Suitable Workspace: Set up a dedicated workspace in your home that is comfortable, quiet, and free from distractions. Ideally, this space should be separate from your personal living areas and equipped with a desk, chair, and any necessary office supplies.
  • Computer: SHD will provide a computer and headset with the software needed to perform the daily activities as an agent.
  • Time Management and Discipline: Working remotely requires self-discipline and good time management skills. Create a schedule and stick to it, setting clear boundaries between work and personal life. Minimize distractions during work hours and find strategies to stay focused and productive.
  • Accessibility: Ensure you can access any necessary resources or files from your home setup. This may involve VPN (Virtual Private Network) access or other remote access solutions to connect securely to your organization's systems.
  • Personal Ergonomics: Take care of your physical well-being by setting up an ergonomic workstation. Invest in an adjustable chair, a suitable desk, and proper lighting to promote good posture and reduce the risk of strain or injury.As part of the screening and hiring process, a background check is required.

The State Department of Insurance may disqualify persons who have committed certain felonies from licensure. In addition, certain misdemeanors require a waiting period before applying for licensure. The department may not issue a license unless all fines, court costs, fees, and court-ordered restitution have been paid.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $61,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
