For those with a passion for ministry and helping others through Christ, the College of Theology offers bachelor and master’s degrees in Christian Studies. Specializations include Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Christian Leadership.   

As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction, we’d like to hear from you. 

INT-630 [Issues in Urban Ministry]

“This course is an examination of how the church’s mission expresses itself in the urban setting and the ethical implications for decisions made in urban ministry.”

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: Masters in a related discipline with exceptional expertise in urban and cross-cultural ministry. All instructors must have 2 or more years professional experience in cross-cultural ministry or teaching missions or urban ministry courses at the postsecondary level.
  • Preferred: Doctorate in Biblical Studies or Doctorate in Theology or Doctorate in Philosophy or Doctorate in Ministry from an accredited college or university with coursework in cross-cultural and multicultural ministry.
