For those with a passion for ministry and helping others through Christ, the College of Theology offers bachelor and master’s degrees in Christian Studies. Specializations include Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Biblical Studies, and Christian Leadership.   

As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction, we’d like to hear from you. 

INT-510 [Biblical Foundations of Urban Ministry]

“The course provides a biblical foundation for urban ministry and equips students with an overarching understanding of basic principles for effective urban ministry. Students develop understanding of the crucial position of the local assembly of believers, the history, and the various best practices for culture transformative urban ministry.”

INT-625 [Multicultural Ministry and Contextualization]

“This course introduces students to the basic competencies needed for ministry in a multicultural setting. Students explore social services, community building, holistic ministry strategies, and how to contextualize the Good News of Christ without compromising its integrity.”

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: PhD from an accredited college or university with coursework in multicultural or urban ministry AND At least two years professional experience in ministry or teaching at the postsecondary level.
