We are the only supplier of national terrestrial television and radio broadcasting services in the UK, consistently delivering digital TV, analogue and digital radio to people in all four corners of the country. We also distribute over 1,000 channels internationally using our fibre and satellite infrastructure.
Our advanced, dedicated networks are also supporting the management of critical data and content for connected devices including smart TVs and smart meters for water, gas and electricity.
We are looking for an experienced business development professional for our growing international team. We need someone with extensive B2B experience and great networks in the industry and region to drive the growth agenda with our IP and Cloud based suite of solutions.
Location UK/Europe Region
Our journey is to transition global media distribution to cloud solutions, where we aim to double our revenue and continue to grow by being an innovator of scalable solutionsfor new connectivity sectors. This is a FTC role duration 12 months
The role
Engage named prospect accounts for Media & Broadcast customers particularly across IP and Cloud based suite of solutions.
Establish, maintain and grow a broad set of contacts from C-Suite down to operational levels and across all functions. Develop, maintain and communicate an detailed knowledge of those customers.
Strategically plan across the Region, prospecting and bringing on new logos, undertaking market intelligence gathering, providing strategic input to the product with approximately 70% of time spent on direct sales and business development, incorporating channel sales and partner development as appropriate.
Lead pipeline management and pitches, bringing in SMEs as appropriate. Primary areas will comprise of hybrid CDN, smart advertising, head-end services, video operations and content processing & distribution technologies. Promote the existing Arqiva product set, particularly Arqplex and Arqade. There will also be potential sales into pay TV platforms, broadcasters, streaming platforms, telcos and content owners as customers.
Maintain accurate and up to date records on our CRM system of all interactions (Salesforce) demonstrating a pipeline and delivery of opportunities to meet or exceed set targets.
Work in partnership with the Director of Commercial & Strategic Planning to successfully negotiate and execute new contracts, in line with agreed governance structures.
Undertake handovers to Account Management colleagues in line with agreed transition principles.
The person
Experience of impactful business development in a B2B organisation
Must have good interpersonal skills when dealing with Arqiva, customers and third parties up to and including C-Suite
Established network in media and broadcast in the European region
Experience of CRM systems in a structured sales and business development environment
Good Microsoft Office skills to generate presentations and business cases
Clear understanding of the need of good customer service
