The Company

Rescue is a full-service marketing agency with a mission to make healthy behaviors easier and more appealing. Since our founding in 2001, Rescue has been exclusively focused on researching, developing, and implementing positive social change campaigns in public health. We provide research, strategy, creative, production, web, traditional media, social media, policy change, youth engagement and experiential marketing services to government, non-profit, and healthcare clients in over 35 states and provinces, as well as to federal government agencies.

Rescue’s health behavior change marketing campaigns focus on topics such as tobacco, obesity, substance and alcohol prevention; the promotion of exercise, eating healthy foods, early childhood development, and after school programs; and other topics that promote healthy living. Rescue’s behavior change campaigns focus on diverse populations within teen (13 - 17), young adult (18 - 26), and adult (18+) populations in both rural and urban areas, resulting in a wide variety of campaign styles and strategies.

The Job

We are looking for a dynamic, high performing Integrated Campaign Strategist that is able to take our behavioral strategy and connect it to our audiences in the moments that matter most. Ensuring we are reaching our audiences in the right mindset with the right message to prompt behavior change. Working closely with behavioral strategists and our media team you will develop communications strategies, ecosystems and media approaches that make our campaigns more relevant and effective.

Day-To-Day Activities:

Audience-Understanding - We start by being an expert in our audience

  • Assess the target audience and further segment the audience based on budget and goals.
  • Research and understand the day to day lives of our audience, their media and digital behaviors and their mindset.
  • Use syndicated and/or proprietary data systems such as MRI or Nielsen Commspoint to gather these audience insights and patterns.
  • Create slides with the support of my director that outlines the findings in a clear and presentable way.


Integrated Communications - We connect the message to the right moment

  • Starting with the behavior change goal and audience insights you will create the campaign ecosystem.
  • Outline the shape of a campaign pulling in paid, earned and owned channels together.
  • Develop interconnected communication plans, inclusive of audience journeys and ecosystems.
  • Co-create media recommendations by developing media strategies that bridge the gap between abstract creative ideas to black and white media tactics.


Media Expertise - We develop effective, outcome-oriented plans

  • Have a clear understanding of how media channels work independently and together to create an integrated, cohesive strategy.
  • Develop media strategies that connect communication objectives to implementation tactics;
  • Partner with the analytics and research team to create measurement plans that align communications and media with short/mid/long-term behavior change outcomes;
  • Develop insightful conclusions from media performance data and present recommendations and direction to clients.

  • Proactive around managing projects and can independently move projects forward.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, tracking where they are at and supporting as needed.
  • Is good at problem solving and working on new approaches to problems.
  • Can spot potential issues and bring potential solutions to their manager to work through.
  • Is responsive to manager and team questions and proactive about communicating the status of projects.


Team Relationships - We inspire our colleagues and clients to think differently

  • Contribute to the creative team sessions in conjunction with the Strategy team to generate creative & compelling connections ideas;
  • Partner with strategists and channel owners to ensure strategic alignment, from conception to implementation;
  • Collaborate with the Client Service team to understand client preferences, the scope of the project and deliverable requirements.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree +3 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree +1 years relevant experience;
  • Ability to plan and organize the work, while always being accountable and adaptable;
  • Ability to communicate thoughts while collaborating with the team to carry-out plans and develop new ideas;
  • Ability to develop impactful presentations that effectively sell ideas and the work.

Status: Full-time

Pay Range: $65,000 - $78,000 per year.

The Fine Print

Environment:

All business-related environments are tobacco-free.

Physical Requirements:

Able to remain in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time for the performance of duties. Able to read from a computer, laptop monitor, or tablet for a full workday and for long periods of time (typically 8 hours) including fonts of various sizes from a variety of sources. If working from a Rescue office location, able to stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move freely throughout the building. Able to travel nationwide as needed to meet with clients, coworkers, or attend meetings and seminars. Must be able to move boxed work documents, up to 40 pounds, in and out of office for travel by car and by air.
