Syndax Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research and Real-World Evidence Generation

The Role: 

Syndax is searching for a Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research and Real-World Evidence (HEOR &RWE). The Director, HEOR & RWE will be responsible for the execution of HEOR & RWE strategy and evidence generation to support Syndax products. The Director collaborates with stakeholders across the company including Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Regulatory, Biometrics, Compliance and Clinical Development to support Syndax data generation needs aligned with product and corporate strategy.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports HEOR & RWE research strategy development.
  • Designs and implements HEOR & RWE research including burden of illness studies, medical claims and electronic health records database analyses, economic analysis, systematic literature reviews and indirect treatment comparison.
  • Reviews HEOR & RWE research project materials including study protocols, analysis plans, reports and publications building on the high quality and scientific rigor of these deliverables.
  • Represents HEOR & RWE on Clinical and Commercial cross-functional teams to ensure coordination of activities and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Partners with Field Medical Affairs to develop field team resources and provide corresponding trainings.
  • Leads execution of HEOR and RWE publication plan and communication materials in close partnership with Medical Strategy and Publications/Communications.
  • Provide HEOR & RWE input into clinical development programs and clinical trials protocols as needed.
  • Directs external research vendors and consultants to deliver results using appropriate scientific methodologies. 

 

Desired Experience/Education and Personal Attributes:

  • Graduate degree in a quantitative life sciences field; PhD strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in HEOR, pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Hematology and oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Expert in analytic methodologies and modeling, scientific data interpretation and presentation.
  • HEOR experience in the US required; experience in the global markets preferred.
  • HTA experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, strong sense of urgency, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively articulate thoughts and express ideas using oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to build valuable relationships and networks in a matrix environment. 

 

Location: Syndax’s corporate office is in New York, NY.

 

Syndax offers a total compensation and rewards package that is among the most competitive in the industry. Base pay is just one element of our package and is determined within a range based on several factors including market data, experience, qualifications, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, travel requirements and internal equity. Our overall package also includes an equity offering, annual target bonuses, and an outstanding benefits program. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $245,000 - $270,000.
