THE ROLE

OLIPOP’s Corporate Communications Manager is an expert communicator, supporting the development, integration and implementation of a broad range of communications and stakeholder management strategies that support the company’s vision, culture and business plans. Reporting to the Director of PR + Communications, this role will support in translating these strategies into clear, consistent and effective messaging across multiple channels, manage crisis plans and collaborate with internal departments across a variety of key business objectives, as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage corporate communications strategies that proactively support and reflect OLIPOP’s vision, culture, product and brand in internal and external stakeholder communications
  • Develop and craft reactive and proactive communication narratives across channels to support business objectives including press releases, social media, newsletters, presentations, and more
  • Anticipate brand reputation issues and manage strategies for issues preparedness; manage and execute a proactive and reactive crisis communications program to respond to important issues and protect the company's reputation
  • Support C-suite leadership in enterprise-wide media relations; magnifying thought leadership externally and boosting engagement internally through 1:1 key message development, media training, speechwriting, and presentation preparation
  • Spotlight and drive awareness for key partnerships across the business internally and externally
  • Partner with department leads to support their communications needs and develop insightful key message guides, strategy memos, briefing documents, creative materials, interview talking points, and other written corporate communication assets 
  • Conduct and analyze competitive brand research to identify trends and present critical findings to wider team
  • Nurture and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
  • Build and steward relationships between the brand and key community stakeholders to create greater brand advocacy

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, PR, English or related business field
  • At least 6+ years of communications experience including corporate experience with a strong emphasis on executive and corporate writing
  • CPG experience preferred 
  • Significant experience in crisis communications and fundamental understanding of how to expediently develop plans to address a crisis
  • Experience in working with news media, notably business and/or investigative journalists
  • Solid business acumen and analytical skills
  • Experience in creating engaging, compelling content for business-owned social media channels 
  • Impeccable attention to detail and consistency in daily program execution
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to create and execute to a plan 
  • Collaborative and energetic working style and enjoyment of working cross-functionally with members of wider organization
  • Ability to lead and present concepts and recommendations 
  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, startup environment and be a team player

COMPENSATION:

$115,000-$120,000 base salary + bonus
