This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

GoDaddy is not currently considering candidates for this role in California, Seattle, or NYC.

The Legal Department, comprised of Commercial, Corporate Governance & Operations, Compliance & Risk, and Corporate & Government Affairs, joins forces across the enterprise to navigate rapidly evolving challenges and support GoDaddy’s mission and strategic priorities while continuously innovating, prudently managing risk, and maintaining GoDaddy’s dedication to integrity and regulatory excellence. This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in advancing GoDaddy’s mission of empowering entrepreneurs everywhere, making opportunity more inclusive for all, while contributing to innovative product offerings like GoDaddy Airo, our cutting-edge AI solution.

What you'll get to do...

  • Act as primary lawyer on certain cross-business unit initiatives, coordinating with other subject matter experts within and outside the Legal Department as needed
  • Advise on legal and regulatory risks of business decisions and strategic initiatives, and help craft pragmatic solutions that mitigate risk and support growth
  • Provide legal guidance on product designs, policies, go-to-market strategies, and customer communications to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices
  • Work closely with GoDaddy’s Legal Department and compliance group to maintain a current understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape, including support and maintenance of legal and regulatory obligations as they apply to the business
  • Draft, review, and negotiate product-related third-party agreements, including technology licensing, data sharing, and vendor agreements
  • Develop strategy for engaging, and navigate communications with, external collaborators, such as customers, partners, and regulators
  • Work closely with business partners and the compliance group to identify, track, and remediate compliance issues
  • Build operational mechanisms that drive measurable operational efficiencies and improve legal and business workflows
  • Provide training to business partners, senior management and relevant staff, as appropriate
  • Instruct and manage external counsel within agreed policies and budget

Your experience should include...
