Job description

About the Role:
As a Software Developer at BWZ you are responsible, together with your team, for the whole development process. Starting with discovering the demands, than planning and detailing the tasks, so you can write the code, and finally test and deploy it.

You will work on our Web Platform team, building and improving UI components, collaborating on technical decisions, and supporting the platform with documentation and fixes.

You will be trained by our Tech Leaders and will be working in one of our tech teams, with team members based in Canada, Brazil and UK, while collaborating with our Design and Content teams.

What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Technology Director, working with the Tech Team and working closely with the Design Team. You will be tasked with the development of front-end solutions for our WordPress Platform and services related to it.

Together with all the other Engineers, you will be supporting our Content and Sales Team on customer service for technical issues we might have.

You don’t have to know all the answers, because you will have the time to research and learn new technologies and solutions, so you can make suggestions and implementations that might fit our product needs to better perform and scale.

  • You will be accountable for your results, not the hours you worked.
  • You will be part of a team, collaboration is a key factor.

  • Your skill set includes:
  • Curiosity to understand how things work.
  • An unbridled openness to learning new technology.
  • Great time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Openness to learn and use new programming languages.
  • You are comfortable to read / write documentations from / to others.
  • Good communication in English.
