Director, Project Management Office (PMO)

Responsibilities:

• Establish and lead the PMO, defining its mission, goals, and operating model.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and support staff within the PMO.
• Lead and build the full Projects Framework and Governance.
• Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and best practices tailored to our organization's needs.
• Oversee project portfolio management, ensuring projects are prioritized and resourced appropriately.
• Collaborate closely with senior management to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and issues.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO, promoting innovation and efficiency.
• Serve as a key advisor to senior management on project management matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience (10 years) in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering software projects.
• Previous experience (5 years) in a leadership role within a PMO or similar function and building PMO units.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• PMP, Prince2, or other relevant certifications preferred.
