About the Role

Torii, a recognized Gartner Market Leader in SaaS Management, is on a mission to revolutionize the SaaS management industry. Empowering companies to discover, optimize, and be able to control their SaaS stack. As our Company continues to scale, we're looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as the technical bridge between our sales team and prospective customers, helping them understand how Torii's platform can solve their SaaS management challenges. You will play a crucial role in driving new business by delivering compelling product demonstrations, addressing technical concerns, and guiding potential clients through the evaluation process.

What You’ll Do

As the Sales Engineer, you will

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, working alongside the Sales team to present Torii’s platform to prospective customers.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations that highlight Torii’s value proposition and technical differentiators.
  • Own the technical validation process, addressing customer questions, objections, and integration concerns.
  • Support the sales team by creating tailored presentations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical documentation.
  • Stay up to date with SaaS management trends and industry best practices to provide thought leadership.
  • Ability to tie business problems to technical solutions 
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills to engage executive, business, and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the sales process. As a strategic partner to the sales team, you will play a key role in guiding prospects through the technology evaluation process while collaborating to drive opportunities toward commercial partnerships. Your ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships will be instrumental in fostering long-term success.

In addition to technical expertise, you must have a collaborative mindset, working closely with both customers and internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing success. Your role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between technical and business teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions. Ultimately, you will help drive customer success, streamline technical evaluations, and position Torii as the leading SaaS Management solution.

Who You Are
  • Experience & Expertise:
    • 2-5 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Presales (preferably in SaaS).
    • Experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, supporting SaaS and/or software sales 
    • Strong understanding of SaaS applications, IT infrastructure, API integrations, and IT ecosystems.
    • Experience with SaaS Management, Identity & Access Management (IAM), or IT Management is a major plus.
    • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.

  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Hands-on experience with identity management platforms (Okta, Azure AD, JumpCloud, OneLogin, SailPoint, etc.).
    • Familiarity with MDM / UEM platforms (JAMF, Intune, Workspace ONE, Kandji, etc.).
    • Exposure to automation & integration platforms (Tray.io, Workato, Boomi, Automation Anywhere, etc.).
    • Understanding of ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, etc.).
    • Experience with HRIS integrations (BambooHR, Workday).
    • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth, and API-based integrations.
    • Experience with SaaS integrations, including Salesforce, Zoom, Slack and Atlassian

  • Coding & Debugging Skills:
    • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Ruby, Python, and/or Perl.
    • Ability to debug technical issues and proactively improve system processes.
    • Basic SQL knowledge is a plus.

  • Soft Skills & Problem-Solving:
    • Excellent communication & presentation skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business benefits.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
    • Self-motivated with a growth mindset, eager to learn and improve continuously.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but confident enough to ask questions or for support when needed.
    • Able to analyze existing processes, recommend improvements, and take action on changes that you can impact..
    • Ability to interact effectively and deliver technical concepts to technical and non-technical personnel alike.

The salary range displayed is an OTE consisting of base and variable pay. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

$135,000$150,000 USD
