About the Company:

Sagan represents a high-growth technology company in the fitness industry looking for a Senior React Engineer to help shape the next generation of its business platform.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior React Engineer with deep expertise in React, UI/UX design, and front-end architecture. This role requires a detail-oriented engineer who moves fast, prioritizes high-quality code, and is passionate about user experience. You will play a key role in developing scalable, high-performance front-end solutions while collaborating with designers and backend engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, develop, and ship scalable, high-performance front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies.
• Independently migrate and build standard screens using our UX/UI patterns and component library without explicit input from designers.
• Collaborate with designers on more interactive and unique front-end features.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code while maintaining performance, accessibility, and responsive design principles.
• Work with a high-growth, fast-moving engineering team to rapidly iterate and improve our core platform.
• Optimize front-end performance and ensure cross-browser, mobile, and accessibility compliance.
• Continuously improve our component library and front-end architecture to enhance developer experience and maintainability.
• Ship frequently and iteratively, deploying new features and improvements in alignment with our aggressive product roadmap.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and enhance front-end performance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in front-end engineering.
• Expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and front-end API integrations.
• Familiarity with Vite and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Good eye for UX.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in Slack, GSuite, Linear.
• Experience with React Native or mobile-first development.
• Knowledge of Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for UI/UX collaboration.
• Understanding of A/B testing, analytics, and data-driven design decisions.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
• Good eye for UI/UX in addition to strong coding skills.
