Position Summary:
The Professional Services Billing Analyst is responsible for managing the billing processes, which include creating invoices, tracking payments, resolving billing issues and ensuring accurate financial records for professional services.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and understands project contracts.
- Responsible for setting up Operation and Financial project terms in ERP Program.
- Owns the Operational and Financial Project Life Cycle.
- Generates, monitors, supports and submits project invoicing.
- Assists AR Specialist with accounts receivables support
- Leads scheduled meetings with Leadership regarding Operational and Financial project health.
- Responsible for managing WIP.
- Teams with Project Managers and office leadership to track project financial performance including reviewing project work plans, budgets, and staffing plans for fee alignment; provides project setup and invoicing training as needed.
- Partners with Accounting Department to ensure project success.
- Conducts reporting and analysis of monthly financial and operational metrics, ad-hoc financial analysis to support executive decision making, budget, and variance analysis.
- Supports the annual operations plan.
- Supports the reporting requirements of the firmwide corporate accounting group.
- Maintains open communication with other offices on projects that are coordinated among multiple practices to work.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- 5+ years of experience in professional services billing
- Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, the office equipment, recordkeeping systems, management information systems, and related protocols used in the organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and tactful interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of personalities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or related field

This position is classified as salaried, exempt. The hiring salary range for this role is anticipated to be $55,000 - $70,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications.

For this particular position, we expect to hire near the middle of the range. To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of experience in professional services billing , a High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree, or above, in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance a plus.
We understand that there may be rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position. In these cases, we may consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
