Job description

Job Summary:  Xcitium is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual HR Specialist to join our team in Colombia. This individual will be crucial in sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding employees for our US operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of US employment laws, hiring practices, and cultural nuances to effectively support our growing workforce. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for US-based roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various positions.
  • Ensure compliance with US employment regulations, including EEOC, FLSA, I-9 verification, and other relevant labor laws.
  • Partner with US-based hiring managers to understand job requirements and provide guidance on best hiring practices.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and ensure proper documentation for new hires.
  • Maintain HR records, employment contracts, and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
  • Provide guidance on US payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations as needed.
  • Assist with employee performance management, grievance handling, and conflict resolution following US standards.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to build a fair and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in US talent acquisition and HR practices.
  • Strong knowledge of US employment laws, including FLSA, EEOC, ADA, and I-9 processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with remote teams and work across different time zones.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR management tools.
  • Certification such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting a multinational workforce.
  • Familiarity with remote hiring strategies and virtual onboarding practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
