KGR Logistics is a full-service logistics provider headquartered in Houston, Texas. We are seeking an Experienced, Self-Motivated, Success and Results-Driven Freight Broker/Agent with 3 years or more experience as a Freight Broker/Agent with a current book of business. Your duties will be identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with customers, negotiating pricing, contracts, and being able to secure profitable business deals. The candidate should have a deep knowledge of the freight industry, including trends, rates, and regulations, and be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve sales targets.
This sales job is strictly Commission-Based and does not offer a base salary. Which means that your earnings will be directly tied to your sales performance, there is no cap. The more sales you make, the more you’ll earn.
Note: This job description is specifically for a Freight Broker/Agent with established books of business, and does not focus on customer relations. The primary objective of this role is to generate sales and achieve revenue targets.
Folks with a book of business we can talk and negotiate a fair split based on your book and our evaluation results and what you would need to make the transition.
High school Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
2-5+ years of experience in sales and negotiations, preferably in the freight industry with a primary focus on freight rate negotiation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
Self-Motivated, with Growth-Mindset, Success, and Target Driven.
