Application Administrator - ESOM Program 

Location: Remote 

Duration: 10-month contract - option to extend/convert 

Pay: $60,000-$70,000 hourly equivalent - benefits included 

Summary: 

The Application Administrator will be responsible for managing the ServiceNow platform, with a focus on collecting Hardware Asset Management requirements, implementing and configuring the ServiceNow Enterprise platform, and providing day-to-day monitoring and user support within the VA environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and will be able to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver enhancements that improve platform functionality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the stakeholders and ServiceNow team to improve asset management processes to track hardware assets.
  • Track the onboarding process and provide status updates.
  • Develop and implement asset management plans according to the Implementation Plan.
  • Perform regular asset audits, asset analysis, and inventory checks.
  • Updating and maintaining asset databases.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with different departments to understand asset needs and software requirements.
  • Analyze asset lifecycle and recommend improvements within the HAM and SAM instance

Requirements

  • AA or 2-year technical school in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Graduate of Technical School, or equivalent (4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow administration, including implementation, configuration, and support.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Communications:
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Oral and written technical and non-technical to a variety of audiences
    • Present information and ideas so others will understand
    • Ability to respond clearly to questions.

Technical Skills:

    • Familiarity with ServiceNow administration and implementation across various ITSM modules especially HAM Pro & SAM Pro.
    • Hands-on experience with platform monitoring, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.
    • Ability to follow policies and procedures
    • Aptitude to address sensitive situations and positively resolve them.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
    • Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Preferred Skills:

  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITSM Implementation Specialist) are a plus
  • Experience supporting a federal client, prior VA Experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) modules.
