Job description

We are seeking an RFP & Marketing Writer for a full-time and direct hire role for one of our amazing partners in California. This is a fully remote role, and you can be based anywhere in the US.


They are a high-growth technology company that is small but expanding rapidly. They need a proactive, detail-driven RFP & Marketing Writer that will play a crucial part in their growth. You will create compelling proposals in response to RFPs issued by organizations seeking bids for services, and craft engaging content to promote their services in the market. You will craft persuasive and comprehensive proposals that address the specific requirements outlined in a Request for Proposal (RFP). You will research the requirements and scope of the RFP, develop and write the proposal content, and proofread and edit the final proposal. You will also create engaging and persuasive content to promote their services to target audiences, so you must have a good understanding of marketing principles and audience psychology. You will create various marketing materials, such as website copy, social media posts, email campaigns, and brochures that are consistent with the company's messaging and tone. You will analyze marketing performance and make recommendations for improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Research companies and government agencies for RFP opportunities.
  • Create, write and edit RFP proposals in a professional and credible manner.
  • Rewrite proposals according to feedback
  • Help create strategies that help with the proposal development.
  • Write documents to help with business development and marketing.
  • Develop engaging and effective written content for various marketing materials, including but not limited to press releases, social media posts, website content, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align written content with overall campaign strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights that will strengthen marketing messages and campaigns.
  • Stay informed about events, and relevant topics to incorporate timely and relevant information into marketing materials.
  • Review and edit written content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Craft engaging social media content to boost online presence and foster community engagement.
  • Ability to help in other areas of the company as needed.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven experience writing RFP proposals and working with government agencies.
  • Experience in the background check industry is a plus.
  • Proven super high RFP proposal win rates.
  • Flexibility to do marketing & sales collateral writing.
  • Ability to navigate through the RFP portal with little to no direction.
  • Understanding and ability to explain complex technical concepts.
  • Write clear and concise proposals and meet deadlines
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to adapt writing style for different channels and platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas for marketing & sales content.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
