Job description

This is a remote position.

Pharmavise has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant based in Brazil.  

Job Summary:   
The ideal candidate will be responsible for various financial and administrative tasks, including invoicing, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting. We seek a detail-oriented professional with experience in US GAAP, and proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial management tools.

Key Responsibilities 
Invoicing and Payments:  
Generate and send invoices to clients via SAP Ariba and QuickBooks.  
Review and approve invoices from internal and external contractors.  
Execute accurate and timely processing of payroll on Wise and QuickBooks    
Oversee invoicing, collections, and payments to vendors, maintaining accurate records and accounts receivable/payable. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.     

Contract Management:  
Review and sign off on employment contracts.  

Attendance and Expense Management:  
Monitor team attendance and time logs.  
Cross-check attendance with invoices.  

QuickBooks Management:  
Create and send invoices via QuickBooks.  
Set up, monitor, and manage bills in QuickBooks.  
Conduct monthly reconciliation for five accounts in QuickBooks.  
Manage the setup of new employees in QuickBooks for onboarding.  
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly reconciliation reports and financial statements including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.  
Perform monthly categorizations for five accounts.  
Conduct balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations.  
Review and approve expenses.    

Tax Preparation:  
Manage tax-related activities, including the preparation and filing of USA 1040 and 1120S and ensuring adherence to tax regulations, especially with the federal, state, and local financial legal requirements of the United States.  

Salary Calculator Management:  
Manage, develop, and improve the salary calculator.  
Must be an expert in Excel.  

Operations Support
Cater queries from contractors regarding benefits, compensation, PTOs, etc.

What we’re looking for:  
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision 
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting , Finance, or related field.   
Preferred with a CPA License or CRC Registration (Active license with Conselho Regional de Contabilidade – CRC).
1-4 years of proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a Life Sciences Consulting or Staffing environment.  
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP Ariba, and Wise).   
Microsoft 365 suite of applications.   
Strong Microsoft Excel including report production.   
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.   
Excellent English communication skills (written and oral), time management and interpersonal abilities.   
Attention to detail and high accuracy in work.   Good communication skills both written and oral.  
Preferred with experience in the US market.
In-depth knowledge of USA accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.   
MUST BE COMMITTED.

Other Details: 
Full-time – 7:30 AM EST to 3:30 PM EST 
6 months contract (renewable) – 1 month probation to start. 
Fully Remote, must be living in Brazil

Monthly Rate: $800-900 (will increase to $900-1000 after 1 month + bonuses)
