Job description

The Regional Vice President drives the strategy and vision for Paradies Lagardère platforms aligning teams to achieve results. As the Regional Vice President, you are responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of Paradies Lagardere operations, including developing strategies, driving growth, managing airport partnerships, first-class customer experience, and ensuring the overall success of the retail division.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee retail operations, driving customer retention, satisfaction, and profitability. Collaborate with corporate and regional teams to deliver first-class service standards.
  • Team Development: Lead, coach and mentor (Sr) Regional Directors. Foster open communication through regular meetings and updates.  Lead talent management activities for direct reports (succession planning).  Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, engagement and development.
  • Platform Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with Platforms in the region, addressing their needs promptly. Foster a lasting strong relationship with airport leadership, as well as working collaboratively with Business Development.  Support Request for Proposals (RFPs), airport community activities, etc.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure compliance with company guidelines through ensuring standards are met and the Field team has the tools to make decisions to drive their business and achieve their objectives.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Review financial and operational reports to control costs, maximize productivity, and maintain inventory standards. Identify opportunities to improve profitability. Build a strong team focused on the customer experience, operational excellence with following standard operating procedures, inventory and expense control, as well as strong labor management and to drive financial KPIs. 
  • Region Oversight: Lead the Platforms within the region and drive strong operational processes to create efficiencies and a productive work environment.  Identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Collaboration: Ensure alignment with cross-functional partners to support both the region and retail division overall.  Partner and build brand relationships to support execution with brand locations to the highest degree.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven knowledge and an understanding of financial metrics, reporting and analysis.
  • Must have a successful track record of project management leadership, corporate strategy design and execution, including analyzing data.
  • Excellent technical, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Positive influencing, negotiation and coaching skills required.
  • Proven expertise in collaboration and teambuilding across functions.
  • Ability to travel 40% of the time and work flexible hours.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ leadership experience is required with diverse high volume retail concepts and teams.
  • Ability to lead and develop Sr Directors and Directors.
  • Previous airport experience a plus.
  • College degree preferred with a focus in Business Administration or similar field of study.
