Job description

We are looking for an organized, professional, and strategic individual to join as a Manager, Business Systems.  The Manager of Business Systems will lead and develop a team of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) while managing projects that require their involvement. This role ensures initiatives align with business priorities, are executed efficiently, and optimize resource utilization. Reporting to the VP of System Operations, the Manager will oversee BSA-driven projects, provide technical troubleshooting support, and drive process improvements. This position balances project management, system support, and long-term stability while fostering collaboration between Technology Solutions and internal business units. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about technology and troubleshooting.

Experience:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience developing high-performing teams

  • Technical expertise to support troubleshooting and in-depth system discussions
  • Strong understanding of deposit, lending, mortgage, and collection systems within the banking/credit union industry

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and standardize best practices for project execution and operational processes
  • Strong collaboration skills to work across business units and Technology Solutions teams
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions that align with organizational priorities

Operational:

  • Working knowledge of client server concepts and familiarity with various technologies used within the Technology Solutions areas and the IT industry.
  • Abides by all policies, procedures, and protocols set forth in the departmental, GTE Financial employee, operational and administrative policy manuals.
  • Must demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated leadership in managing teams and/or significant projects
  • Experience in financial institutions and business system operations preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant business system tools

Position Details:

  • Location:  Downtown Tampa – GTE Headquarters (Remote)
  • Department Hours:  Monday– Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

Work arrangement will primarily be working remote and may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice, if possible.

Required for Remote/Hybrid Work:

  • A quiet workplace so you can focus on delivering excellent service to our members.
  • Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
  • Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
  • Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
  • Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
  • Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
