DUTIES:
- Gather non-functional test requirements including: application under test, technology of the application, infrastructure on which the application is hosted on, system user load, determine service level agreements, and user work load model.
- Create Performance Test plan and Test Strategy documents to define test cases, SLAs, User load details.
- Use programming languages including C, C++, Java and Javascript to design load test scripts using load testing tools Neoload, Jmeter, and Apploader.
- Responsible for designing test scenarios for different user workload models to execute Normal, Stress and Endurance load tests.
- Conduct Performance Test executions to determine performance of software applications and infrastructure in terms of stability, reliability, and scalability on On-Prem and Cloud based applications.
- Responsible for implementing continuous Integration and DevOps methodologies by scheduling the load tests through Gitlab.
- Build CICD pipelines to automate end to end load test execution and load testing infrastructure maintenance.
- Build CICD groovy pipelines to automate load test activities including spinning up dynamic Kubernetes Pods/AWS EKS nodes, Git SVN functionalities, restarting application test servers, purging old data in the application databases, automated extraction of test data from the databases for load test, automated load test results and reporting.
- Perform software application monitoring during test executions using monitoring tools including Dynatrace, Solarwinds and Grafana to identify potential performance bottlenecks and stress point of the application to improve the performance and user experience.
- Analyze performance test results and conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality to optimize on Garbage Collection, heap management, and JVM configuration.
- Conduct periodic business reviews for load test workload modelling.
- Conduct code reviews with the peers to ensure all the load test scripts are in functioning state and scripting standards are being followed.
- Estimate and scope performance testing engagements, as well as develop project timelines and deliverables.
- Be actively involved and participate in agile methodologies.
- Position reports to Centene headquarters at 7700 Forsyth Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63105 and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time. Travel required: Travelling is required 10% of the time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related or its foreign equivalency or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
- In addition, experience with the following skills is required: (1) Designing and developing Performance Test plan and Test strategy guidelines by translating complex system requirements and specs into test requirements and testing methods to conduct load tests; (2) Developing load test scripts in programming languages including C, Java, Javascript, SQL, and REST services; (3) Working with load testing tools including Neoload and Apploader and APM tools including Dynatrace and Splunk; (4) Working with root cause analysis using APM tools to identify potential performance bottlenecks and recommend performance tuning to optimize overall application performance; (5) Using CICD tools to build pipeline jobs to automate end to end load testing activities; and (6) Conducting load & performance testing on applications getting migrated to Cloud environment.

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week [8:00 am to 5:00 pm]
PAY RANGE: $121,633.20 to $186,800.00 per year
