OmniOn Power currently has a Telecommunications Installer role open in our Southeast region. This role will be 100% remote with overnight travel to customer sites in a regional area. Periodic travel may be required outside of the geographic region. 

The preferred location for this role is Alanta, Georgia.

The Service Technician DC Level III will work on the addition or removal of wiring and connections on working and non-working DC power equipment.  Responsible for weekly tool inventory, writing and submitting the MOP (Method of Procedure) and JIM (Job Information Memorandum). Responsible for timesheet for self and crew, safety adherence, and jobsite house cleaning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small to medium sized service projects.
  • On-time completion and quality of the installation project
  • Responsible for inventory and staging of equipment and materials, weekly status report to supervisor, reading and interpreting specifications and drawings
  • Assist Level IV Technician on lead verification (voltage)
  • Add or remove DC power systems, batteries, and add or remove common systems equipment hardware
  • Support installation, commissioning of wireless, datacenter, and electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment
  • Comply with all EHS and regulatory guidelines

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Three years of experience in Telecom DC power equipment installation
  • Two years of experience in pulling & sewing cable, construction of cable racking, bay mounting
  • Valid driver's license
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time
  • Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries.
  • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
  • Frequently crouching or squatting
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold.
