Job description

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Lead to join our team on a rotational basis, supporting a new Joint Venture in Iraq. This position is responsible for leading and support all engineers to achieve tasks and goals in line with the company objective, driving people in the organize using the service excellent concept, coaching people and evaluate them monthly.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for budget and planning of technical projects in business unit site.
Technical decision maker responsible for people and team development
Ability to implement and manage change in the business unit site
Takes a lead role in resolving customer technical issues in the business unit site
Identifies and implements improvement processes for the business unit site
Identifies, develops and assigns projects and tasks for the business unit site
Assigns projects and tasks in accordance with business unit site objectives
Can influence leaders, peers and subordinates on technical and business issues within a business unit site
Coaches and mentors subordinates in technical and business issues within business unit site
Accountable for setting and agreeing project schedules. Responsible for adherence to budget, cost and time within business unit site Responsible for setting clear objectives and measuring performance in line with business unit site goals
Leads and writes major portions of technical reports and technical articles on broad technical projects
Review of Engineering designs for lower level engineers
Regulatory Training Requirement : “Safety officer for Management level” course
Employees have duty to work safely, conduct themselves in a safety manner, take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others, avoid taking unsafe shortcuts or fail to follow established procedures that might negatively impact health, safety or the environmental
Employees need to fully comply with the company Business Ethics Policy

Required Skills / Knowledge

Previous experience leading a team of Engineers
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
Customer service focus - able to understand customer needs and implement best practice to achieve results
Previous experience managing budgets
Able to delegate tasks efficiently between the team
Ability to review and understand Technical design drawings
English language skills

Experience

5+ years experience in engineering of Gas Turbine repair
3+ years experience in management level

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Physical Requirements

Candidates can be based remotely, this position is on a 8x2 rotational basis.
